Sikkim Guv, CM extend greetings on Ram Navami

Gangtok, Mar 27 (PTI) Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur and Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Friday extended greetings to the people of the Himalayan state on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami.

In his message, the governor said the holy occasion of Ram Navami symbolises the birth anniversary of Lord Ram, which is celebrated on the ninth day of Chaitra month.

“Ram Navami is the symbol of the victory of good over evil and religion over evil. This festival gives us the opportunity to consider Lord Ram’s teachings and embrace his values – truth, justice, compassion and sacrifice in our daily lives. I wish that Lord Ram’s ideals guide us all and inspire us to create a more peaceful, prosperous and inclusive Sikkim.Congratulations again,” he said.

The chief minister, in his message, also said that Lord Ram’s life stands as a timeless example of truth, duty, and righteousness.

“His unwavering values, as an ideal son, a devoted brother, a loving husband, and a just king, continue to inspire generations,” Tamang said.

“May this blessed occasion fill every home with peace, good health, and prosperity. Let us draw strength from his teachings and strive to uphold integrity, compassion, and goodness in our everyday lives, as we work together towards a brighter and more harmonious future,” he said. PTI CORR BDC
