Actor Nandish Sandhu, who attended the couple’s pre-wedding celebrations, has said Smriti Mandhana and Palaash Muchhal were “madly in love” and “inseparable” over the last five to six years. He also urged people not to jump to conclusions and suggested it would be fair to let Palaash speak from his side too.

Wedding Plans: Postponed, Then Called Off

The couple’s wedding—reported to be scheduled for November 23, 2025 in Sangli, Maharashtra—was first postponed at the last minute due to a health emergency involving Smriti’s father, who was hospitalised.

Subsequently, both Smriti and Palaash issued statements confirming the wedding was called off and requested privacy, with Palaash also referring to baseless rumours circulating online.

From Private Relationship to Public Confirmation

Smriti and Palaash largely kept their relationship private before acknowledging it publicly in July 2024, on their five-year anniversary, as reported at the time.

Teammate Support: Jemimah Rodrigues Steps Back

Amid the personal turmoil, teammate Jemimah Rodrigues withdrew from the remainder of the Women’s Big Bash League to support Smriti, according to verified reporting.

Bottom Line

Nandish Sandhu’s comments spotlight the depth of the relationship that people close to the couple claim they witnessed over years. But with the wedding now officially called off and both parties asking for privacy, the focus remains on respecting due boundaries as they move forward.
