How the Initiative Works
According to updates shared by Sonu and his NGO Sood Charity Foundation:
- Priority is given to families with children, elderly passengers, pregnant women, and those with medical needs.
- Applicants must provide proof of flight cancellation/delay and valid travel documents.
- Accommodation is arranged near Dubai International Airport (DXB) or Al Maktoum International (DWC) for easy access to rescheduled flights.
- Basic meals and airport transfers are also being facilitated in many cases.
- The initiative is expected to support 300–500 individuals in the first phase, depending on hotel availability and duration of the crisis
Sonu personally responded to several verified requests on social media, reassuring people: “Don’t worry, we are working round the clock. Help is coming.”
