Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, has achieved a major overseas milestone by overtaking Baahubali 2: The Conclusion to become the highest-grossing Indian film in North America. According to Box Office Mojo, Dhurandhar The Revenge has grossed $22,767,392 in the U.S. and Canada, surpassing Baahubali 2’s lifetime North America gross of $20,186,659.
The record had stood since 2017, making this one of the film’s biggest international achievements so far. With the milestone coming within the film’s second weekend, Dhurandhar 2 has further strengthened its standing as a major global box-office force.
Team Baahubali extends congratulations
The official Baahubali social media handle congratulated Aditya Dhar and the entire Dhurandhar 2 team after the record was broken. According to Hindustan Times, the message praised the film for breaking Baahubali 2’s long-standing record and setting new box-office benchmarks in India, the U.S., and worldwide.
Producer Shobu Yarlagadda, who backed the Baahubali films, also reacted warmly. HT reported that he said he had watched Dhurandhar 2, loved the film, and was happy to see it break records and set new benchmarks.
A new benchmark for Indian cinema
The North America record is the latest in a long run of milestones for Dhurandhar: The Revenge. As of March 30, 2026, trade coverage pegged the film’s worldwide gross at around ₹1,361.95 crore, with an India net collection of about ₹855 crore.
The response from Team Baahubali has added a sporting and celebratory note to the moment, underlining the scale of Dhurandhar 2’s success and its growing place in the overseas box-office record books.
