Latur, Mar 10 (PTI) An 18-year-old boy died after an unidentified vehicle crashed into his motorcycle in Maharashtra’s Latur district, police said on Tuesday.
The accident occurred in the Borphal village area of Ausa tehsil on Monday night, an official said.
The victim, Nilesh Dattatray Chincholkar, a resident of Kolewadi village, was returning home after finishing work at a stone quarry when an speeding vehicle coming from the wrong side rammed into his two-wheeler on the service road, he said.
The impact of the collision left the motorcycle mangled, the official said, adding that locals rushed the injured man to a hospital, but he died enroute.
A case has been registered against the driver who absconded with the vehicle, and a probe is underway, the official said. PTI COR ARU
