Telangana govt to accept suggestions from people on Musi rejuvenation project

Hyderabad, Mar 31 (PTI) Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Tuesday said that the state government would accept suggestions online from people on the Musi river rejuvenation project.

Vikramarka, who heads the cabinet sub-committee on Musi development works, said the suggestions can be submitted online from March 31 to April 15.

All valuable suggestions would be thoroughly analysed and the sub-committee members would directly engage in phased consultations with those who provided inputs, he said.

Recalling that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy recently performed ‘bhumi puja’ for reconstruction of Omkareshwara and Machileshwara (Shiva) temples on the banks of Musi river at Manchirevula here, Vikramarka instructed officials to prepare a comprehensive roadmap for the works to be undertaken.

He asked officials to divide responsibilities, including coordination with Defence authorities, consultations with the displaced families, finalisation of construction designs, and discussions with bankers, an official release said.

He urged officials to move forward with enthusiasm in view of the commitment of the chief minister and the entire Cabinet. He told them that the project would be a milestone in their careers.

The Deputy CM assured that the Musi Sub-committee members would be available round the clock to support officials with any suggestions or requirements.

Stressing the need to cleanse the Musi river here polluted by industrial pollutants and sewage discharge, Revanth Reddy on March 28 vowed to rejuvenate the river and also build grand temple, mosque, church and Sikh shrines as part of the project. PTI SJR SJR KH
