The celebration reportedly took place at Malaika’s restaurant in Juhu, where several celebrities and friends had gathered. Bedi had shared pictures from the event on Instagram congratulating Malaika on her venture, but later deleted the post after the dating rumours began to spread rapidly online.
Sorab Bedi Clarifies: “We Are Just Friends”
Reacting to the growing speculation, Sorab Bedi denied any romantic involvement with Malaika Arora. In an interview, he explained that their bond is purely platonic and that the rumours were based on misunderstandings created by viral clips.
Bedi also revealed that he has known Malaika for several years through the modelling circuit. According to him, actors Delnaz Daruwala and Vahbiz Mehta introduced them during his early modelling days. Through their common social circle, the two gradually developed a friendly equation and have attended many gatherings together over the years.

While dismissing the rumours, Bedi also expressed disappointment at the way people reacted online. He urged social media users to be more mindful when commenting on someone’s personal life.
He pointed out that speculation and careless remarks can affect a person’s mental well-being, especially when directed toward women. Bedi emphasised that two individuals spending time together does not necessarily imply a romantic relationship.
