Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have set March 27, 2026, for the theatrical release of They Will Kill You, a horror-comedy with heavy action beats led by Zazie Beetz. The film’s first trailer—released January 5—leans hard into blood-soaked set pieces, rapid-fire corridor fights, and satanic cult imagery.

Trailer: Gore, cult masks, and a fight out

The trailer introduces Beetz as a young woman who takes a housekeeping job inside the lavish Virgil high-rise in New York City—only to discover a community tied to a satanic sacrifice ritual. What follows is a brisk escalation into close-quarters combat and over-the-top violence, with the vibe landing somewhere between siege action and darkly comic survival horror.

Plot setup

The official premise centers on a woman entering a building with a long history of disappearances, slowly realizing she may be next—unless she can fight her way out.

Director, writers, producers, cast

Kirill Sokolov directs and co-writes with Alex Litvak. The film is produced by Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti (whose Skydance-backed horror label Nocturna launched with this title as its first project), along with Dan Kagan; Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger are also listed among producers on the project.

The ensemble includes Patricia Arquette, Tom Felton, Heather Graham, Myha’la, and Paterson Joseph alongside Beetz.
