Nashik, Mar 28 (PTI) A 28-year-old woman was killed and two others were seriously injured when a speeding car rammed into them in Upnagar area here on Saturday evening.
Sheetal Kashinath Kharote, the deceased, visited a 2-wheeler showroom near St Xavier’s High School as she intended to buy a scooter, said a police official.
Sunny Ram Puri and his cousin Ravindra Arun Puri, her acquaintances, were with her.
A speeding car going from Nashik Road to CIDCO hit four or five two-wheelers parked in front of the showroom before hitting Sheetal and the other two as they came out of the showroom.
The woman died on the spot, the official said.
Dnyandev Motiram Sonawane (59), a retired teacher, was allegedly driving the car. A case of rash and negligent driving was registered against him and further probe was on, the police official said. PTI COR KRK
